The conference went great, and we met a lot of great people with new ideas. We'll be writing more about these ideas as we start to do more stuff within the community.
Umm, after we got there we had this get to know each other party/thing. On Friday y we had speakers talk to us about voting and communicating with your legislature and ways of using myspace, facebook and youtube. Later that night we had a party so we could chill out and hang out with people. On Saturday we started to talk more about future plans (for the next year). Some ideas that we, as an entire council, will be working on are and online zine, facebook causes/groups and more community outreach.
Overall, one of the more beneficial aspects of the summit was simply learning from each other. By talking to other peer eds, we learned about what they were doing and what worked for them in their communities.
It's late and I'm probably forgetting a bunch of stuff, but I just wanted to get something on here :]
